Madison Initiative passes initial hurdle

From JSOnline.com: The Madison Initiative for Undergraduates passed the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents business and finance committee on Thursday with one abstention from Regent Michael Falbo.

The resolution supporting the tuition surcharge at UW-Madison included an amendment that stated clearly that student families making an adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less who reflect financial need will be held harmless from the differential increase. Read the full post.
